Holsworthy Day Companions

These will resume as soon as we are able.

We provide day care for the elderly in Holsworthy and surrounding parishes giving carers a chance of a day’s respite.
We are open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am to 4pm and offer lunch, activities, trips, entertainment, slideshow presentations, talks and demonstrations.

We are an active Centre, believing that age or disability should not be a barrier or prevent you from leading a normal life.
In the Centre we have no TV, and books and knitting are discouraged as we believe that the clients have the rest of the week to do that at home.
Centre members are welcomed on arrival with a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits.

During their time at the Centre clients are welcome to participate in a number of group activities, including games, crafts and short sessions of bingo.

The Centre also offers support for a variety of difficulties, and a social outlet to those who may be house bound.
